Day 1
Day 1
FES • IFRANE • AZROU • MIDELT • ZIZ VALLEY • ERFOUD • ALLURE OF THE DESERT CAMEL TREK

Our day begins early as our professional driver picks you up from your hotel to begin our adventure. Affectionately referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, the pretty town of Ifrane is known for its alpine-style architecture. Our next stop is the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Don’t miss the opportunity to feed the monkeys as they playfully tease you with their antics.

A lunch break will be offered in Midelt which is known for its handicraft co-op and its importance as a mining center. After lunch we cross the Tizi n’Talrhemt Pass with stunning photo opportunities of the Ziz Gorges. As we make our way to Erfoud, we visit the marine deposit of fossils where they are unearthed and traded or fabricated into products such as jewelry.

We then take you to a kasbah where you have time to relax and prepare for the much anticipated camel trek into the sands of Morocco’s highest dunes. Enjoy your time wandering the dunes before the sun sets in a spectacular show of colors. A traditional Moroccan dinner is served, followed by a traditional music show of Berber instruments around a campfire. Enjoy this desert night atmosphere as you take a look up at the sky. Count the shooting stars as you gaze in wonder before a peaceful night in a private nomadic tent.

Day 2
Day 2
MERZOUGA • ERFOUD • TODRA GORGES • KALAAT M’GOUNA • DADES VALLEY

Be sure to wake up early to see the beauty of the picturesque sunrise over the desert dunes. It just might be the most spectacular one you’ve seen. Don’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of these breathtaking dunes of Erg Chebbi as the changing light of day plays upon the sand.

After your breakfast we depart towards Tineghir to Erfoud where we visit the marine deposit of fossils where they are unearthed and traded or fabricated into products such as jewelry. After a break for lunch in the afternoon we will continue to Todra Gorges where you can revel in the splendor of the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Have your camera ready for this spectacular site as we take time to explore this scenic point.

We proceed to Kalaat M’gouna which is widely known for its Festival des Roses. If you are lucky enough to be here is May, you may witness the grandeur of this festival. Don’t miss the chance to purchase the rosewater for which the city is named. We will make a stop for a panoramic view of Dades Valley where photo opportunities abound. After your dinner, we will drop you off at your hotel/riad for the night.

Day 3
Day 3
DADES VALLEY • OUARZAZATE • AIT-BENHADDOU • MARRAKECH

Following your breakfast at your hotel/riad, we continue to Ouarzazate to visit Skoura. This oasis, sprinkled with palm tree groves, is among Morocco’s most beautiful. We stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt, originally the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and a symbol of the feudal period of the lords of Atlas. Let’s stop near the Atlas Film Studios where numerous films and TV series have been filmed. The list includes The Mummy, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, The Amazing Race 10, along with many others.

We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This famous kasbah is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco and was used as a backdrop for more than twenty films. We will stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon we will traverse the Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains along a series of spectacular hairpin turns. With an altitude reaching 2260 meters there will be no shortage of incredible photo opportunities.
